Quick Guide for Choosing Offsite Disneyland Hotels Closest to Disneyland

West side Harbor Blvd hotels: ( directly across the street from Disneyland)

Note that these hotels are all in very close proximity to each other so the extra walking distance is only going to be a minute or two difference between hotels as you move along Harbor Blvd.   Also keep in mind that these are motel style along Harbor Blvd, and not 4 star resorts.   They are nice and clean accommodations, and the close location across the street from Disneyland make them a great choice!   If you can’t stay at the swanky Disney Grand Californian Resort or the luxurious Disneyland Hotel  (my two favorite hotels), these will be your next best options if you want to be in close walking distance of the parks (in some cases even closer than the Disney hotels!).   The competition between them all has encouraged frequent renovations, and similar amenities.     I will be highlighting the family suite rooms that sleep 6 or more in each review, and pricing average given is from my search mid week in April and off season in September.  (prices will be higher on weekends)   Also make sure to check for special discounts when booking your hotel.  Many offer season pass holder, AAA, military, and Senior discounts.

Grand Legacy Anaheim Resort

CONS:  parking can be difficult to find and parking rate is high

3.9 star google rating

Distance to Disneyland main gate:  7 minute walk

Room quality and bed:  modern and spacious, newly renovated.  Some reviews said the bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Room size & suites:  option for 3 room suites that sleep 8 and have TWO bathrooms (4 queen beds and 1 queen sofa sleeper) at 950 square feet with view of Disneyland and fireworks,  2 room suites at 630 square feet that sleep 6 (2 queens and 1 sofa sleeper),  and there are several other standard room luxury options (some are in the “new tower”)

Price:  The pricing was interesting when I switched the dates around.  My search for April 12 (our Spring Break) 2 room suite sleeping 6 was $197,  3 room suites sleeping 10 was $340, and standard room starts at $124.     Mid May the price drops even more, to $93 starting for a standard room, but yet the 2 and 3 room suites went up a hundred more than April.  However booking far away in September (off season) it shows $427 for 3 room suite, and $248 for 2 room suite.  So it appears that booking it closer to your trip may be beneficial for a large price drop.

Special Discounts:  Season pass holders, AAA, military, and Seniors

Parking fee:   Car parking is $18 per night with a limit of two cars per reservation. For reservations in the Classic, Deluxe, and Premier rooms, the second car parking fee is $25.00 plus 17% tax/fees per night.  The additional hotel taxes were $33 when I booked a 2 room suite at $197 a night.

Pool:   great pool area, nice large outdoor heated pool and splash zone for kids

Breakfast:  snack bag with water, granola bar, cheese stick, and seasonal fruit.  Guests have complained that they don’t offer a full complimentary breakfast here.

Amenities to note:  Conveniently located near a large selection of dining (Jimboy’s Tacos being my favorite), and the top of this hotel’s new tower has the restaurant The Fifth, the only restaurant in Anaheim on a rooftop.   Rollaway beds and cribs are no extra charge for most rooms
